Learn the process of both wax carving, and casting in this 5 hour jewellery making workshop. We will first explore the processes involved in wax carving by filing, sanding and carving a piece of jewellers wax. This wax model will then be used to make a sand cast mould from. Once your ring has been cast in sterling silver, I will demonstrate how to clean up and apply a polished or matte finish to your ring which will then be ready to wear and take home. ring by melting silver to create new jewellery using a crucible and pouring into different mould types. Silver for your ring is included in the cost of the course.

The workshop is suitable for beginners or those with some jewellery making experience. You will learn a range of jewellery making techniques from wax carving, to casting and how to clean up the piece ready to wear.
