FAQs

1. Can I return an online order?
Yes, if you've purchased a stock piece online and it’s not quite what you expected, we offer a 14-day return policy. To return an item, please ensure it is in its original condition and packaging. Simply send it back to our studio address:
Megan Falconer Jewellery Ltd, Studio 4/13, Deemouth Business Centre, South Esplanade East, Aberdeen, AB11 9PB.
Please note that the return shipping cost is your responsibility.

2. What about bespoke commissions?
Bespoke or commissioned pieces are non-refundable. To begin a custom order, we require a 50% upfront deposit, with the final balance due upon collection of the finished piece. Before you commit to a commission, we’ll provide a detailed sketch or description of the design for your approval. Once confirmed, this acts as an agreement to proceed with the work.

3. Do you have set opening hours?
I currently do not operate as a traditional shop and my studio is not open to walk-in visitors. However, if you would like to discuss a commission, browse available collections, or simply chat about jewellery, I am happy to arrange a visit by appointment. Please feel free to call or email me to schedule a time that works for you.

4. Do you offer repairs?
At this time, I am unable to take on repairs of jewellery from other makers. However, I do offer repair services for any of my own pieces should they require maintenance or adjustments. Please contact me for more information.

5. Is your jewellery hallmarked?
Yes, all silver jewellery pieces that exceed the legal weight limit for hallmarking (7.78g) will be hallmarked in accordance with UK regulations. Pieces that fall below this weight are not required to be hallmarked, but rest assured that all of my work is made with the utmost care and quality materials.

6. How long will it take to receive my order?
For stock pieces, we aim to dispatch orders within 1-3 business days. For bespoke commissions, the time frame can vary depending on the complexity of the design, but typical turnaround times range from 6 to 12 weeks. I will always provide an estimated timeline when you place an order or commission.

7. Can I change or cancel my order?
Once your order has been placed for stock pieces, it can be cancelled or amended within 2 hours. After that, production or dispatch may have already begun, and we may not be able to accommodate changes. For bespoke pieces, cancellations or changes can only be made before the design is confirmed and the deposit is paid.

10. How do I care for my jewellery?
To keep your jewellery looking its best, avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals (such as cleaning products or perfumes) and store it in a dry, cool place when not in use. I also recommend cleaning your jewellery gently with a soft cloth. For silver pieces, a regular polish will help prevent tarnishing. If you need more specific care advice, feel free to reach out!

11. What sizes do you offer for rings?
If you are purchasing a ring online, please make sure to check the size prior to ordering, if you don’t know your size, I sell ring sizers on my SHOP section of my website. Most rings are available from a size K – R, however if there’s a ring you’d like in a different size, please just get in touch.
