Intermediate Jewellery Making
This two day jewellery workshop is suitable for students who have had some previous jewellery making experience. The workshop will allow students to continue their learning and develop further skills in jewellery/silversmithing.
The workshop has two sessions available, and will run on Monday 9th/Tuesday 10th December 2024 and Saturday 5th/Sunday 6th April 2025 with a lunch break in between on both days.
In this workshop, Megan will cover technical skills such as chain making, stone setting, casting, recycling scrap, intricate soldering and other fabrication techniques. Materials are provided in the course fee, and you will be leave the workshop with a range of finished pieces and samples, including a gemstone set ring, a chain bracelet and more.
Previous jewellery making experience is essential (day class/short course/intro to jewellery making) as you will be expected to be able to file, saw, solder and clean up pieces.
Workshop Dates:
Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th December 2024 (9am - 5pm both days)
Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th April 2025 (9am - 5pm both days)
Workshops are limited to five students to allow optimal teaching experience and one to one time for technical skills.

All you need to bring with you is glasses if you need them for close up work, a sketchbook to take notes and please wear workshop appropriate clothing (no open toe shoes).
The workshop will take place at my studio at Studio 4/13, Deemouth Artist Studios, South Esplanade East, Torry. There is parking (subject to availability) at the studios, on street parking on South Esplanade East or alternatively only a 10 minute walk from Aberdeen Bus/Train station.
